DevC#mber 2022, First Steps for SMK to Become a .NET Developer
Radya was one of the supporters at the DevC#mber 2022 event. DevC#mber 2022 raised the theme "The First Steps for SMK to Become a .NET Developer". Different from previous years, this year's DevC#mber is specifically for SMK students.
DevC#mber is a developer community event held in December every year by Alkademi. First held in 2018, DevC#mber is aimed at programmers who want to share their experiences with fellow programmers. The initial concept of this event was "Barcamp" where the participants and speakers could share knowledge and experiences directly with each other.
DevC#mber 2022, which was held on Friday, December 23, 2022, at Block71 Bandung, was opened with remarks and a report on SMK Coding activities by Puja Pramudya (Chief of Curriculum Alkademi). Then there was also a speech from Kang Helmi (CEO of Alkademi). Kang Helmi said that this year's DevC#mber event was held together with SMK Coding. “In previous years, DevC#mber was made for the public, workers, and university students. This year it was specially made for SMK, so all SMK friends can join. We hope that everyone has the same learning opportunity," he said.
The event continued with remarks from Fiki Setiyono (Country Lead - Azure Business Group at Microsoft). "Microsoft really supports the SMK Coding program, because it is in line with Microsoft's vision," he said. In his presentation, Fiki Setiyono explained that Microsoft supports business development in Indonesia, through the Microsoft for Startup program where Alkademi is one of the startups that is part of the program.
After the remarks from the speakers, the DevC#mber 2022 series of events continued with presentations/pitching from participants in the team category application creation competition and were judged directly by the jury from Alkademi. In the past few weeks, selected students from several SMKs and Universities have been given the opportunity to make applications accompanied by a mentor from Alkademi.

Presenting and participating in the competition for making this application included: SMK 1 Cisarua, SMK 1 Cimahi, SMK 1 Prakarya International, and STT Cipasung Tasikmalaya. Some of the applications made are movie-watching applications, job search applications, image provider applications, music applications, and book applications.
After the pitching session ended, the event continued with a discussion between Kang Helmi and representatives of SMK teachers regarding the program conducted by Alkademi for SMK students. Kang Helmi also offered SMK teachers that in the future there would be special training for SMK teachers. The discussion session ended with the distribution of gifts to representatives of the SMK teachers present.
The DevC#mber 2022 event ended with the announcement of the winners of the team application development competition and individual coding competition. Prizes in the form of cash worth a total of twelve million rupiahs were given directly to the winners by representatives from Qwords as sponsors at the DevC#mber 2022 event. DevC#mber 2022 was officially closed with a group photo of all participants and speakers present.
