.NET Conf 2023, Learn and Build Apps Across Platform with .Net and Azure

The .NET Conf 2023 event was completed on Friday 3 March 2023. The activity, which was organized by Radya, was held offline at the Microsoft Indonesia office, Indonesia Stock Exchange Building, Tower 2, 18th Floor, Jakarta. This event is also supported by Microsoft Indonesia and several Radya group subsidiaries such as Alkademi, Radya Digital, and Akselerasi.

The series of events started at 09.00 with remarks from Irving Hutagalung (Microsoft Country Engineering Lead), he conveyed the development of .NET technology which continues to get updates every year and can compete with other programming technologies. Irving also added how Microsoft Indonesia continues to support the IT community in Indonesia by providing various program activities, one of which is through the .NET Conf 2023 event.



Opening remarks from Irving Hutagalung (Microsoft Country Engineering Lead)


The first session started with material from Rudi Hartono (CEO of Radya Digital) regarding the reasons for choosing the .NET platform and how to implement the use of .NET and Azure across all platforms. This session also discussed how to build a backend with .NET, create a frontend using Blazor, create multiple applications (desktop, android, iOS) with a single codebase, Deploy using Azure Cloud, and maintain code quality using Azure DevOps.

In addition to providing material, a live demo will also be held at .NET Conf 2023. The first demo begins with how to build a fast, secure, and high-performance backend with .NET by Ade Jaenudin (Senior Software Engineer Radya Digital). He practices how to build minimum APIs with .NET, create clean architectures with .NET, and create fast, secure & high-performance backends using .NET .



Implementation of the use of .NET and Azure


The next demo was presented by Hasbi Kholifatul Ashshidiq (Engineering Manager of Radya Digital). Hasbi explained how to build a web frontend using Blazor. "Blazor is a UI framework developed by the .NET team that can be used to design and build frontend applications with C#, HTML, and Razor Templates," said Hasbi. "There are 3 advantages to using Blazor, such as: being able to run anywhere, being able to create UI in a short time, and being able to use it on the web or natively," he concluded.

Then the material continued with a demo of making several applications (desktop, android, iOS) with a single codebase by Muhammad Yunus (Senior Software Engineer Radya Digital). Yunus demonstrates how to implement .NET MAUI for desktop and mobile. He also explained the features of .NET MAUI and how this platform can make it easier for developers to build cross-platform applications.

The next material and demo, followed by a discussion of the Microsoft Azure family. The final demo was delivered by Iwa Sugriwa (Engineering Manager Radya Digital) with material on implementing the use of Azure Cloud. Before entering the break, the first session ended with material on how to maintain code quality using Azure DevOps given by Arik Achmad (VP of Engineering Radya Digital).

The .NET Conf 2023 event resumed at 13.00 with the introduction of the subsidiaries of the Radya group, namely Alkademi, and Akselerasi. Alkademi is an educational foundation that focuses on developing digital talent. For Alkademi it was delivered directly by Dyan R. Helmi (CEO of Alkademi). Meanwhile, Akselerasi is a company engaged in the field of Human Resources or to be more precise channeling experts/talents to companies. for Akselerasi presented by Jodi Permana (CEO of Akselerasi).

The second session began with the introduction of Radya Digital products by Rudi Hartono and Arik Achmad. Some of the products currently owned by Radya Digital include: DMS (Distributor Management System): ERP (Enterprise resource planning) application for the distribution process of goods used by distributors; Sales Field Force: Application to facilitate planning, delegation, and monitoring of sales force activities; Outlet Apps: POS application for outlets/stores to manage sales easily starting from stock information, online and offline orders, reports and order tracking; and Atlaz: LxP (Learning Experience Platform) application which provides a better learning experience with goals and consultation features

Before closing, a question and answer session was held with Rudi Hartono and Arik Achmad regarding .NET and Azure technology. At exactly 15.00 the .NET Conf 2023 event was officially closed and ended with a group photo of all the speakers and participants present.
